LANTERN MAKING CONTEST

 

      We will like to invite all parents and children in St Eli Preschool to join and have fun in the coming Lantern festival event in our school.

      This unit of work encourages students to explore how the Chinese lantern festival is celebrated and to discover why this festival is significant to people of Chinese descent. Students will use an inquiry approach to develop their understandings.

 

Students will gain knowledge, skills, and experiences to:

Understand how people pass on and sustain culture and heritage for different reasons and that this has consequences for people.

Term & Conditions:

• Open for all the children in St Eli Preschool.
• Parents can assist and help along with your child.
• It's free.
• Size is not limited.

Adherence to specifications

• Use of materials such as aluminium can tabs, old newspapers, saga seeds and paper rolls.
• Colours & Designs
• Originality
• Lights and sounds

* All lanterns must be summit to the school or administrative by 14th September 2015, Monday.
* The lanterns will be displayed at the school compound till end of Oct.
* The school will not hold any responsible the damage or lost of lanterns.
* All parents should follow and accept the terms and decisions made by the school from time to time.

 

Prizes:
The 1st 3 winners for the best lantern will receive
1st prize -Cash of RM100/- , Mooncake
2nd prize- Cash of RM80/-, Mooncake
3rd prize- Cash of RM50/- Mooncake

*All decision will be final.
